**Hydro:** Glad to have you for this interview, Backstreetgirl! So from what I have seen on your Baraag, you focus primarily on drawing lots of cute, smol lolis. You also draw some shotas as well.

One thing I'm noticing is you like to give the characters different dispositions and personalities in your drawings, to really emphasize what you're going for in a particular drawing. They'll be a smug loli being condescending towards the viewer or another character, there might be an innocent loli not sure what's going on, or there can be a super horny loli too.

I like the expressiveness of the characters you draw, it makes the drawings grab your attention

**DrX:** Happy to have you. So readers and listeners can get a better idea of the art you make, what kind of scenarios do you usually like to depict in your art?

**BSG:**: Aw thank you, it means the world to me that you noticed and enjoy what I do!! I try really really hard to make my pictures fun with lots of unique energy!
Also happy to be here! So the idea of my art is to take some controversial and, like, wrong, and make it into something positive and fun. The world I depict in my art is full of things and scenarios which can and are negative in real life and twist them into a sexually friendly and positive .. thing
Incest, humiliation, extreme fetishes, name calling. It's all very sex positive and overall enjoyable in my world. So stuff like that.

**DrX:** While we don't do stuff like humiliation or more extreme stuff, in our games as well we try to cultivate a more sexually free, sex positive world. 
What kind of started you on this path for this kind of art? For us, one of the biggest motivations was that we weren't really seeing what we wanted to see from 
porn games or shota games, so we wanted to fill that void. Not only for us, but for other people. For you, what do you think were some of your greatest motivations?

**BSG:**: Exactly! I respect that "Fine I'll do it myself!" mentality lol. So I wanted to be an artist more than anything and as someone suffering from Aphantasia I often took to the path of least resistance. Draw the easier funner thing my brain could process easier. 
Lolicon is great because you can put them in any situation and it will be fun, its a fetish in and of itself! As time went on I got a hankering to see how other artists did stuff like Toddlerdom and I noticed it wasnt a thing, so I said "Fine ill do it myself!" and at the time there wasnt a lot of mother daughter bonding, so same thing! So I feel like at the moment my art was very unique. The subjects are getting more popular but I try to make my art better to not just be Fetish Fuel but to speak on it's own!
My biggest motivations were that artists that guided me along the way. So many have taken time to teach me or just be huge inspirations
Pyonoyp (D0gDuk), for being my first teacher and most fun artist I know
Khaz, for teaching me about colors and composition
Born-to-Die, for teaching me form and coloring
Kevabwtf, for being a great friend and a master in all things cute
Babu, for being my reason to draw Takagi and Chi and being a good friend answering my questions
Zabbuk, for being the first to tell me to draw and inspiring me to make my own ideas
JCM2, For showing me some amazing cohesive coloring methods
Note2000, for showing me new ways to draw Takagi
Yamamoto and Inaba, for making the Takagi style I heavily base my work off of
Wagashi and Rom20 for showing me how to make really great sassy faces
AOR彩雲, for being one of my biggest inspirations and one of the first artists ive ever seen (Hes been drawing for half my life)
and my fans and friends pushing me to draw and grow. It makes me tear up knowing so many people have my back and want me to succeed

**Hydro:** "That's awesome that you were able to become an artist by finding a type of content you really felt like you could draw. It's completely true that loli characters can pretty much be put in any situation, and you can make it fun in some way! Them being smol adds a completely different dynamic, and you can give them totally different personalities to fit a situation. And those personalities can come off really strong, sometimes it's almost amplified when it's a loli or shota character, haha.

"Toddlerdom" that's a great term, ha! I think it's pretty fun to depict toddler characters being assertive and horny, and that's not something you normally ever see. So I can understand why you wanted to show that kind of content. And mother/daughter stuff is also very fun, and can present unique scenarios. I know one of the ones I like is when the mother is trying to get some extra cash, and sells her daughter for sex. But the fun part is when she is present for it, or even helps participate. That's good stuff, haha.

That's super cool you have so many other artists that helped influenced you, and guided you along your journey as you kept evolving and improving with your art. I think for a community like lolisho, being supportive and providing tips, advice, encouragement, are extremely valuable."

**BSG:**: Yeah I think so, too. I think its important for people to give eachother a nice open and understanding community when it comes to taboo fetishes like this. In the end we are all normal people exploring ourselves and what we enjoy and I dont think anyone should be shamed or discouraged from it. As long as you dont hurt anyone or encourage others to do so then I say have fun with your life, and I want to make sure people can do that in a safe space
haha Toddlerdom and Motherdaughter stuff is more or less my self insert. Truthfully im not a lolicon or shotacon much myself, im not turned off by it but its not my hentai of choice. I like to draw it because I can envision myself in that situation. All my life ive teased boys and men and I love the idea of twisting them and making them feel certain ways, it just makes me happy. So being a dominant little girl using my body to make you feel terrible things while I lead you down a path of drooling addiction... just gets me going haha. So Art is very much so my voice to you.
Also I just love fun ideas. Art should be fun and creative, and sex and hentai is just so much fun, it should be played with and enjoyed in multiple ways. You should be able to laugh, cry, and admire while being horny at the sa,e time!

**DrX:** I definitely agree that if no one is being hurt or being encouraged to hurt people, it's all good and all in good fun. More people should feel that way! :)

There's definitely people who project (envisioning themselves) onto the shota and loli. And even people like yourself who project but are not necesarily a lolicon or shotacon exactly. 
I actually recently spoke to a woman who fits under this, her personal fantasy was being younger and being passed around by multiple men. It's interesting that people have different ways of approaching things 
when it comes to their fantasies envisioning themselves as a shota or loli. In your case, you're more into playing the dominant role when you envision being a loli, which is a fun inversion.

While I do consider myself a shotacon and lolicon, I definitely get projecting. It's really quite fun to imagine yourself as being younger and getting into all sorts of interesting or perverted situations! 

I agree that art or stories that make you feel a variety of emotions are peak. That's why Hydro and I like writing and creating for our games so much, and it sounds like you also like arousing (heh) a variety of 
emotions in the viewers for your art. If people want to see your art, where can they find you?

**BSG:**: Yeah, I say just enjoy what you enjoy and dont feel guilty about it. We can like the idea of something while just being fantasy. I love Lion King, Ive loved it since I was a little girl.. I want to fuck each and every one of those lions. But Im not into lions or even that much into animals. I like the IDEA of an animal, a big beast with feminine or masculine traits. In a different world I would be a Lion Tamer so to speak, hehe, but in this world, nah. Same with any ferals, the idea is so good but not so much irl. 
Would I literally want to be a child and have sex with men? .. Maybe.. but more likely I just like the idea and if it were to acctually happen who knows?
Its like any other story or movie you know? Its fun to watch aliens blow up new york, its a fun idea to picture yourself in a zombie apocolypse, you might even fantasize about it and secret wish for it to happen... but you want it in your fantasy sense, you dont want it with real life rules and stuff. Everything is ideal in our imaginations and I dont think anyone should think less of themselves or anyone for it!
